LOCK N' SHOP PROGRAM FROM COUNTRY WIDE

With interest rates constantly going up, Country Wide has instituted a rate protection plan for home buyers called Lock N' Shop. What is it? Lock N' Shop is a free program that secures an interest rate for up to 30 days while you shop. It then extends this rate for an additional 45 days (60 days for government loans) when you or your agent brings a signed purchase contract to the local branch. The best part is, if rates are lower at that time, you get the new, lower rate.

So if you do not want to be rushed in shopping but do not want to pay higher interest rates, call me and I will set up a free pre-qualification interview. As a pre-qualified buyer, you are approved, subject to finding a home and it appraising. Since you are pre-approved, sellers consider you a stronger buyer and this may be the difference in having your offer accepted over another offer presented at the same time. It may also give you a negotiation advantage.

Good representation, abundant information and a locked interest rate can save you stress, and money. The buyer must bring purchase contract to branch within five days of signing and within 30 days of Lock N' Shop issuance.
